We made one last jaunt to Newcastle before the summer was over. Summer in Newcastle is my favorite. The memories of all the warm summer nights growing up are so fond in my heart. Definitely not the same without my mom there but it still gives me such a feeling of "home" and puts a smile on my face. I don't think anything will ever be able to replace it and I am so lucky to be able to return to the same home, same bedroom, same backyard view that I grew up in.
And Quincey absolutely loves it there. After this trip she kept saying that grandpas was her home and she wanted to go back. I'm sure she feels the warmth there as well.
And the cherry on the cake.... Auntie Grace came a day early to see Quincey. She was planning on coming already and luckily, our time there overlapped by a day. Quincey got spoiled, that's for sure! Auntie took her to the store and got her a special drink and some "party muffins" which, months later, she still loves! She got lots of snuggles and kisses.
And then, Dessa and the Reimer babies were on their way to Newcastle. We were going to pass each other on the highway. I was on my way back to Lander and she was on her way to Newcastle so, I made her pull over on the highway so I could give them all hugs.
