Dino Costumes

Since going to the Dinosaur Museum in Thermopolis, our little girl has been legitimately OBSESSED with dinosaurs.  She insists on watching only dino shows on tv, all she ever wants to play with is her dinosaurs, she wants to pretend dinos all day long, she talks about dinos nonstop.  Currently there is no end in sight.

So we recently got her a dino costume (that she has worn once).  I don't know why she doesn't want to be in it more given her obsession with all things dinos but at last. I got a couple pictures of her.

She also has had her papa jump in on the action and made him put his dino costume on (which his brother gifted him and I each a costume while I was pregnant).  Joe is such a good sport and runs around acting like a dino with her.  He even cleaned off the car in his dino costume for her.

Watermelon Snow

This is one of those little things that I don't want to forget.

Quincey got watermelon snow all winter long.  I had gotten joe a shaved ice machine years ago with flavorings to make snow cones that we never use.  Thus, the flavoring has been sitting in our cupboard since New Mexico.  Well, we found a use for it this winter.  Joe started bringing snow in for Quincey to eat and putting some of the flavoring on it.  One of the bottles was watermelon but that was all used up halfway through winter however, we still call it "watermelon snow" although other flavors were employed.

Of course, Joe got more and more creative the longer the winter got. He made her "lightup Watermelon Snow" We are more than halfway through April and just had what I hope is our last watermelon snow for the season!

Jackson Hole Trip

Going to stay with the Reimers is always a treat.  This time, Dessa wasn't there for much of it but Auntie Grace was which was also such a treat!  Quincey absolutely loves it there and always wants to stay longer.  Every time we have left Auntie Dessa's house she cries and says she wants to go back; never fails.

We went because Dessa and Chris were out of town and we wanted to see Auntie Grace and the Reimer babies.  I had such a good time hanging out with Sophia.  She is so big and stunningly beautiful.  It's so fun to have this new kind of relationship with her that involves gossip about boys and friends and all things that I remember gossiping about at her age like it was just yesterday.  And, Quincey loves hanging out with her cousins!

Quincey and I also got to go on a sleigh ride through the elk refuge.  I had never done it and really wanted to as elk are my favorite animal.  It did NOT disappoint.  It was so absolutely cool to be right in the midst of all those majestic elk.  I just couldn't get over how stunning they are and two of them were sparring with each other for like a whole 5 minutes.  It's the coolest sound when their antlers lock together.  It was definitely the highlight of my trip.

The highlight of Quincey's trip.... Auntie Dessa's hot tub.  She loves going into it!  She could spend hours in it.

My other favorite from the trip... watching my sisters love on Quincey.  It is so sweet and warms my soul so much to see her loved so uniquely by my sisters.  I have spent most of my life doting over all their kids and love seeing my kid get that same doting love from her aunties!

And finally.... Have to stop at the good ol' Jackalope in Dubios.

The Bus Loop

There is this place right outside of Lander called the bus loop.  I had heard about it numerous times but had never been.  However, my frie...
