Out little baby girl has turned the big 3 years old! How it is possible that it literally seems like I just had her yet she is embedded into every single nook and cranny of my soul and has her own unique personality and is a little person all on her own, I have no idea. But, what i do know is that I love this little girl more than I could have ever fathomed. From her cute extra tooth to the way she says "Re-petend" instead of "pretend" to the way she says "wield" instead of "world" to the way she always wants to run and chase and play play play. To her little butt cheeks that are the cutest little things in the world to her love of back scratches that she insists on falling asleep to during nap time. To the cuddles that never get old. To the outstretched arms that just want mama when she falls down and gets a hurty to her little soul that is the most precious thing in the world to me! I love her unconditionally and uncontrollably.
This year she actually understood in advance that it was going to be her birthday and what that concept meant. How fun it was to see her so excited for her party! She got two parties this year. Her first was with the gaggle of friends she has met here in Lander. She goes to playdates almost every day or some sort of organized activity like Tiger Tots or Itsy Bitsyville or the Children's Museum and along the way, we have met a handful of other moms that frequent the same places, so Quincey has become close with numerous little kiddos and was excited to have a birthday party with them.
I was soooo stressed the day of trying to get everything perfect. Fortunately, it turned out perfect. The kids had a blast and so did Quincey. Not a single fight or problem. And us moms all got to have a great time as well.
This year Quincey was really into rainbows for a while and so she asked for a rainbow birthday party and that's exactly what she got. It's been a couple months now and she still talks about her rainbow birthday party. She loved it and we love her!
Some facts about our current 3 year old:
Favorite color: Green
Favorite animal: Dinosaur or frog still. She still does love her frogs
Favorite Food: Ice cream or popsicles but those aren't really a food group so probably the food I absolutely know she will eat is my homemade hashbrowns. Half the time she doesn't want what is made for her and she picks at food like a bird rather than actually sits and eats a meal but she also loves papa's perfectly made ribeye steak but won't eat any other meat. She is picky but also willing to try new things.
Favorite Song: Holy Ground. She wants it sung to her every night and she sings it with me.
Favorite Book: Any book with dinosaurs in it.
Favorite Show: Youtube shows about dinosaurs. For a quick minute there she liked Paw Patrol but quickly went back to only dino shows.
Favorite Person: Her friend Chloe she absolutely loves and they get to play together daily.
Favorite Activity: Playing with her papa. She absolutely loves it when papa is engaged with her and playing. The could play together for hours outside with nothing but some grass and sticks and have the best time. It is so fun to watch.
